1. About this policy

Get Live in a Week is an independent web design and development business based in Washington State, United States. This policy explains how information is handled through this website, project inquiries, and related business communications. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the business operating under the Get Live in a Week brand.

For privacy questions or requests, contact info@getliveinaweek.com.

2. Information we collect

When you submit a project inquiry, we collect your name, email address, current website if provided, project type, and the information you include in your project description. We also keep relevant correspondence when discussing a potential or active project.

For business outreach, we may obtain professional contact information, such as a business email address, business name, and website, from publicly available business websites or directories.

Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information, including IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, and requested pages, to deliver and protect the website. Website analytics provide information about visits and site performance, as explained below.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or sensitive personal information through the inquiry form.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, discuss project scope, prepare proposals, provide agreed services, maintain business records, protect the website, and understand its performance. We may also use professional contact information for relevant business outreach about our services.

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter or add you to an unrelated promotional mailing list.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

Cloudflare supports our website hosting, data storage, analytics, and configured security services. Email service providers process communications sent to and from our business inbox. Providers receive information needed for their respective services.

Within the business, the owner handles inquiries and client communications. This does not mean that the infrastructure providers supporting those communications never process the information.

We do not sell personal information or provide inquiry details to other businesses for their independent marketing. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and security, or address fraud or abuse.

5. Cookies and analytics

We store a small preference in your browser so the opening animation plays only once. This preference is not used for analytics or advertising. Clearing this website’s stored data resets the preference.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and performance. Cloudflare describes this analytics product as operating without cookies or browser local storage for usage measurement and without fingerprinting individual visitors for analytics.

We do not use Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, session-replay tools, or advertising trackers on this website.

Hosting and security functions may use necessary technologies to deliver the website and prevent abuse. These functions are separate from advertising tracking. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although doing so may affect some site functions.

Our application does not change its processing in response to legacy Do Not Track browser signals. We do not enable third-party advertising tools to track your activity across unrelated websites through this site.

6. How long we retain information

We delete unconverted inquiries and unused prospect records after 12 months without meaningful interaction. Where no interaction occurs, this period runs from collection. Sending another unanswered marketing message does not restart the retention period.

Client agreements, invoices, project correspondence, and other necessary business records are retained for the project and as reasonably needed for accounting, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements.

We keep a minimal do-not-contact record when someone opts out of marketing so that their address is not accidentally added to a future campaign. Where backups exist, restricted copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle replaces them; deletion restrictions must be reapplied if records are restored.

7. Your requests and marketing choices

You can contact info@getliveinaweek.com to ask about information held about you, request a correction or deletion, or stop marketing contact. You can also visit the Your Privacy Choices page.

We may need to verify your connection to information before disclosing or changing it. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate legal, accounting, security, or suppression purposes. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and explain relevant limitations.

For marketing opt-outs, provide the email address that should no longer be contacted. No account, fee, or additional identifying information is required. A marketing opt-out does not prevent necessary communications about an active project.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards intended to protect information, including restricted access and secure handling of website submissions. No website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Third-party websites

This website may link to independently operated websites, including portfolio projects. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. This policy does not describe how those separate products handle their users’ information.

10. Children

This business website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through the site.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we will publish the revised version here and update the displayed date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
